CoVid-19 Solidarity Response Fund

Due to the rapid spreading of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, we are facing a situation without precedent in the recent history of Timisoara, Romania and, indeed, the whole wide world.

Hospitals in Timisoara require immediate support, therefore each one of us can make a meaningful contribution to help treat critical patients and also to protect our doctors and thus help them save lives.

We are using our platform, timotion.ro, to raise funds in order to acquire medical equipment and essential medical supplies, such as personal protective equipment for front-line health workers and doctors.

We are in close contact with several local hospitals and work together with other NGOs on identifying suppliers, coordinating our efforts and pooling resources for larger orders. We try to respond as quickly as possible to the hospitals’ needs, in a rapidly changing context where supplies become more and more scarce by the day. We are painfully aware that the next period is critical for our community and families, but also hopeful in light of the great mobilisation we’ve seen from everyone around us. Now more than ever, every gesture counts!
