Through the proposed project, we will equip the ATLAS Robotics Club of the Banățean National College with equipment, and we will contribute to increasing its visibility in the Iosefini community. The club has been operating since 2020, with the activity centered on building a competition robot and developing the software that is the basis of its animation. The robot created by club members will participate in profile competitions. The existing robot, made of donated or sponsored materials, needs better performing parts to be accepted in the FIRST Tech Challenge competition, which involves 200 high schools in Romania. Participating in the competition is more than building a robot from scratch, it’s an opportunity for students to learn important life skills. During the competition, they acquire VISION, CONFIDENCE and the feeling that they are the creators of their own future. Also, the Atlas Club needs a visual identity, which is why we propose to purchase a minimal kit for its promotion.
In the club, students passionate about the STEM field discover the world of robotics by applying theoretical knowledge in real life, making the connection between the study profile and the future profession. Involving both final and freshman students, we positively influence the learning process, developing the psyche and the social in a pleasant way, different from formal learning.
