Asociația Caravana cu Medici: Medical Caravan – Free Medical Consultations

Our project aims to provide medical care in disadvantaged areas in terms of access to health services. The project is addressed to rural areas in Timiș County, with the objective of organizing 2 medical caravans in Timiș County, to people from areas that do not even benefit from primary medical services and do not have access to the health system for economic, infrastructure or simply because their physical condition does not allow them to go to the hospital. We organize caravans held over 2 days (Saturday and Sunday), in which a multidisciplinary team (specialist doctors, resident doctors, medical students) participates, consulting between 50-180 people/day. We assess the state of health of the population in the respective area through biohumoral analysis, clinical consultation, electrocardiogram, ultrasound examinations, specialist consultations (internal medicine, cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, endocrinology, dermatology, etc.). All the medical services offered are free, and the doctors who carry out their work do so on a voluntary basis. In addition to free medical consultations, first aid courses will be organized for adults and children from the selected communities.

FOR WHOM?

Through the running of the project, approximately 150 direct beneficiaries per day, i.e. 300 beneficiaries per caravan (600 people in total), the number can be variable depending on how many people want to come to our action, they will be consulted free of charge, the volunteers Caravans moving in the localities identified as nerve points, which require the intervention of the Association. The direct beneficiaries of the first aid courses will be the students from the localities visited, having the necessary logistics to be able to offer quality services for a number of 200 participants/ per day/ per course.
